CECIL, GEORGIA– Cecil, Georgia clearly qualifies as a small town. In the 2010 census the government counted just 286 residents.
Cecil, Cook County, is 4 miles north of Hahira and 8 miles south of Adel on US-41, which runs parallel to Interstate 75. That, I suppose, makes it a very low income suburb. The tiny city’s name is known in the Peach State because it is the home of the Southern Georgia Motorsport Park – a quarter mile asphalt drag strip and a half mile oval asphalt track. If want to attend a race and you need to stay overnight consider driving to Adel.
The city hall is on Roundtree street, just in front of the city’s water tower. There isn’t much more to add.
